The Novosibirsk Region 1 team won the mixed 4×50 meter freestyle relay at the Russian Short Course Swimming Championships in St. Petersburg.
The swim took place in the “athletes born in 2010 and over” category. Daniil Markov, Alexander Borovtsov, Arina Surkova and Daria Trofimova clocked 1 minute 30.37 seconds in the final swim. Silver medalists were swimmers from the Republic of Tatarstan-1 Andrey Minakov, Alexey Merzlyakov, Olesya Korchagina and Irina Zlobina (1.32.66). Bronze was won by the first team of the Kaluga region (1:32.99), consisting of Sergey Fesikov, Mikhail Vekovishchev, Polina Ivanushkina and Alina Gaifutdinova (1:32.99). 2012 Olympic medalist Fesikov, 34, previously announced to that he was retiring from his career with his wife Anastasia Fesikova.
