Athletistic/Gymnastics. Former Secretary General of the Polish Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation Piotr Dec commented on the incident caused by the scandalous statement of Ukrainian gymnast Vlada Nikolchenko.

Nikolchenko, who was at Warsaw airport, expressed his outrage on social media, criticizing Poland and its people for spoiling the mood. His statements caused a scandal after being widely published in the media. In response to this, the Ukrainian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation opened a disciplinary investigation, and Nikolchenko herself issued an apology, explaining her first words as psychological stress.

Detz said he discussed the situation with Irina Blokhina, vice president of the Ukrainian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation. She sincerely apologized to the Polish people for Nikolchenko’s statements. Irina Blokhina also confirmed that she was ready to make an official apology to the Polish Federation. Detz expressed gratitude for Irina Blokhina’s quick and effective response, noting that her response brought changes to this situation.
