Biathlete Kaplina answered a question about participation in the Czech Republic in cross-country skiing in 2024

Biathlete Elizaveta Kaplina told that she does not plan to participate in the Russian cross-country skiing championship next year, as it would be difficult for her to resolve the issue of traveling to the Arkhangelsk region.

Last season, Kaplina finished 33rd in the 10-kilometer speed skating time trial at the Russian cross-country ski championship in Tyumen. On November 11, she took part in a control training session for skiers in Khanty-Mansiysk, where she finished second in the 5 km freestyle race.

— Are there plans to participate in ski competitions this season?

– There was no plan. So we participated in a tournament in Khanty with skiers. As for the Russian Championship, I don’t think about it. Last year, the circumstances were happy, because we were at the training camp in Tyumen, where the competition took place. In the same season, their Russian championship will take place in Malinovka, where they specifically need to go, so this option is difficult. If we were nearby, then maybe yes, but in this case, probably not,” Kaplina told .

The 2024 Russian Ski Championships will take place from March 16 to 24 at the Malinovka ski center in the Arkhangelsk region.
