The 46-year-old suffered multiple amputations in 2023 after being hospitalized and was discharged in July.
In the video, Kostomarov leads a tennis practice session while holding a racket using a bionic prosthetic. At first, the racket falls from the athlete’s hands when he successfully hits the ball, but in subsequent attempts he manages to throw the ball over the net.
In the caption of the video, Kostomarov noted: “At first it was a complete disappointment. Without hands it is terribly difficult… both morally and physically. But then, if you really want it, you can find a way out of this situation.” And I really want that.
