Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin announced the opening of the Spartakiad in Moscow.
“The opening ceremony will be held in Moscow, at Megasport, the preliminary date is August 20,” Matytsin told reporters.
– We are working on the question of the payment of bonuses to athletes. We want the status to match the level of the world championships. Before departure, these issues must be agreed, because athletes need financial support in modern realities, the minister added.
Spartakiad-2022 is scheduled to be held from August 20 to 29 in Moscow, Kazan and St. Petersburg.
