Ancelotti: I’m proud to be associated with Brazil, but I have a valid contract with Real Madrid

Blancos coach comments on rumors about position in Selecao

Head coach Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti commented on rumors about his transition to the post of coach of the Brazilian national team.

“I am proud to be associated with the biggest international team in the world, which is Brazil, but I have a contract here at Real Madrid. As long as my agreement in Madrid is valid, I will not talk about my future.”

In the summer it was reported that Ancelotti had agreed his appointment to the Brazilian national team. The Italian specialist will lead the Pentacampeons in June 2024.

Real are preparing in advance to part with their older coach and have already held preliminary negotiations with Shakhtar’s ex-mentor Roberto De Zerbi. An alternative could be Xabi Alonso, now coaching Bayer Leverkusen.

Real are in second place in La Liga, 2 points behind Girona. In the next match, Ancelotti’s team will play away to Cadiz on November 26.
