Athletistic/ Figure skating. Figure skater Kamila Valieva spoke to the press after winning the short program at the sixth stage of the Russian Grand Prix in Moscow.
The athlete received 81.27 points from the judges. 17-year-old Valieva answered the question of what she wanted to achieve in figure skating.
“In figure skating, I want to run a marathon, not a sprint,” Valieva is quoted in Sport24.
On November 26, the girls will present free programs.
Recall that during the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, Valieva was accused of doping. Earlier, the CAS completed its examination of this high-profile case. No verdict yet. The final decision is expected to be announced in 2024.
Currently, Russian skaters are suspended from international competitions.
