Choreographer Zheleznyakov: “It’s time to do your own thing, so that in old age it doesn’t hurt to be left on the sidelines”

Choreographer Alexei Zheleznyakov said he intends to develop his own business so that in his old age he “is not left on the sidelines” and lives only on his pension.

On November 19, Zheleznyakov announced that he had voluntarily left the group of figure skating coach Eteri Tutberidze. Zheleznyakov worked with Tutberidze throughout his career in Russia.

— Friends, I went to work on my projects, I was seriously short of time. I am not getting any younger and the time has come to actively develop my business, so that in old age it will not be extremely painful to stay on the sidelines and live on a single pension.

The life of a choreographer and ballet dancer is cruel. If you have an injury, no one needs you, get older, no one needs you anymore. So those who didn’t realize it in time found themselves in a dark and unpleasant place.

Do you know how many of my colleagues I know who suddenly became irrelevant as they got older?! A lot, guys, a lot, and it’s sad, I don’t want it to happen like that. You must understand me and accept my decision, as they say you should, but you don’t have to. Our working age is also fleeting. Believe me, working on the dance floor for six classes a day is not like sitting in front of a computer all day.

Sure, I may not look 42, but unfortunately I’m already 42. So, my friends, let’s draw the right conclusions. I honestly worked for 15 years in the team, invested everything I could in children, and now the time has come to move on to a new stage of life. Remember how in a comedy program? Understand and forgive, – Zheleznyakov wrote on the Telegram channel .
