Figure skater Veronica Yametova who took second place at the Russian Grand Prix in Moscow, said after the performances that she realized her mistakes and knew the direction of further work.

On Sunday, Yametova became second at the Grand Prix stage in Moscow, scoring 212.75 points on two skates. Kamila Valieva took first place (226.22), third place went to Sofya Muravyova (210.25).

– It was exciting. I had to keep my place after the short program. I liked the ride, I rate it 9 out of 10. There was an error on the double axle. I tripped a bit on the waterfall because my legs were shaking while skating. Overall, everything is fine.

I understood what I needed to work on, what mistakes I needed to correct. At the Russian Championship I will strive to show that I can do anything.

The preparation was the same as in the previous stage of the Grand Prix. We skated every day, there was a lot of work on jumps and pirouettes, we had to do everything clearly. What is my program about? About a warrior, wife of the first Viking. The program is about believing in yourself, in your strengths and never giving up.
