Five-time Olympic cross-country ski champion, Norwegian Johannes Klebo announced that he would not participate in the second stage of the World Cup in Gällivare, Sweden.
On Sunday, Klebo placed 21st in the 20 km freestyle race at the first World Cup stage in Finland’s Ruka. At the beginning of November, the 27-year-old athlete suffered from coronavirus.
“I will go home and I will not be in Gällivare.” I need to practice. My participation in the first stage was already hanging by a thread, so this is really a nail in the coffin,” Klebo quotes TV2.
