Valieva is actively getting in shape, said Bestemyanova

Olympic champion Natalya Bestemyanova spoke about her victory Kamila Valieva at the sixth stage of the Russian Grand Prix of figure skating, and also noted that the athlete was in good shape.

Valieva won the Grand Prix stage in Moscow on Sunday. The 17-year-old figure skater fell while performing a quadruple toe loop and triple lutz in the free skate, but took the final first place, scoring a total of 226.22 points.

“It seems to me that now we don’t need to talk about whether Camila took first place or not. It must be said that she is actively getting back into shape. The form we expect is still a long way off, but we can see a lot of progress compared to previous competitions. It’s definitely worth it, at least for me. I congratulate Kamila and the coaches for this, because I understand how difficult it is for her now,” Bestemyanova was quoted as saying by “Championship”.
