Athletistic/ Figure skating. Soviet Olympic figure skating champion Natalia Bestemyanova spoke about Kamila Valieva’s victory at the sixth stage of the Russian Figure Skating Grand Prix in Moscow. The competition ended the day before, on November 26, at the Megasport arena in the capital of the Russian Federation.
“I think that now we need to talk not about whether Valieva took first place or not, but about the fact that Kamila is actively getting into shape. She is still far from the form that we expect from her, but very Great progress is already visible in past competitions. This is worth a lot, at least for me personally. I congratulate Kamila and her coaches, because I understand how difficult it is for her now,” Bestemyanova was quoted as saying by “Championship”.
Based on the sum of both programs, Valieva won the Russian Grand Prix stage with a score of 226.22 points. As a result, she reached the Spartakiad of the Strongest – 2024, which this season will replace the Grand Prix final for skaters. The competition will take place in February in Magnitogorsk (Chelyabinsk region).
