Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin noted the effective interaction of the ministry with the All-Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF).
On Saturday, November 25, the annual conference of the All-Russian Athletics Federation was held at the Russian Olympic Committee.
— Today we see that the calendar of All-Russian competitions has significantly expanded, the “Queen of Russian Sports” series is held at a high organizational level. The significant increase in the number of participants and the results displayed by athletes during competitions, their motivation and the interest of the regions in the development of athletics inspire confidence. I am confident that athletics will be a diamond in new competition formats, such as the BRICS Games and the first Summer Friendship Games. We believe that productive interaction with international federations will continue to develop,” Matytsin was quoted as saying by the press service of the Ministry of Sports.
The minister also stressed that the ARAF is carrying out effective work in the fight against doping.
