Olympic champion as a member of the Russian volleyball team Dmitri Ilinikh returned to the post of sports director of Belogorye, reports the press service of the Belgorod club.

Ilyinykh had already held the position since December 2021, but left the club in February this year amid a doping scandal. A banned substance, methylhexanamine, was found in the athlete’s sample, taken in 2013. Ilyinykh was disqualified for two years, but the volleyball player’s suspension was later reduced to 15 months, until November 25, 2023 .
Ilyinykh is 36 years old and retired in 2021. The volleyball player is an Olympic champion (2012) and World League winner (2011).
