Neymar took second place in the fan poll, Marquinhos third
Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior won the annual award Samba Gold best Brazilian player of 2023.
In a poll of Brazilian fans, Vinicius beat Al-Hilal forward Neymar and PSG defender Marquinhos. The Blancos winger ended Neymar’s three-year dominance at the award.
In 2023, Vinicius won the Copa del Rey, Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup with Real Madrid. This season, the winger has scored 6 goals and provided 4 assists in 13 matches for Blancos in all competitions.
Earlier, Real confirmed the Brazilian’s thigh muscle rupture. Vinicius was injured in Brazil’s match with Colombia and will miss at least two months.
Real are leading the La Liga, one point ahead of Girona and having played a game more. The Blancos will next take on Napoli in the Champions League on November 29.
