SK Prometheus won confidently Lycurgus Groningen in the return match 1/16 finals of the CEV Cup – 3:0.
The away match for the Ukrainian team was not easy for the winner. In each of the sets there was a tense fight with equal chances. However, Andrei Levchenko’s team managed to complete each of the three games in their favor.
As a result of the two-match confrontation, Prometheus left Lycurgus no chance – 6:0 in total sets. The first meeting, held in Mioveni, Romania, Prometheus won with a crushing score.
Let us remind you that Prometheus was eliminated from the Champions League in the CEV Cup (the second European Cup tournament in terms of status). The Ukrainian team did not make it past the second qualifying stage, finishing third in its group.
In the 1/8 finals of the CEV Cup, Prometheus will play with the winner of the duel Neftekhimik (Bulgaria) – Arkasspor (Turkey). The first meeting was won by the Turkish club with a score of 3:0.
