Composer and music producer Alexander Goldstein said he was pleasantly surprised by the choice of music for the program Mark Kondratyuk and noted that he set him apart from other skaters during trial skates before the start of last season.

I said that I liked him the most, and therefore Kondratyuk showed the best results this season, Goldstein told the Championship.
In the 2021/22 season, 18-year-old Kondratyuk won gold at the European Championship and the Russian Championship, became the Beijing Olympic champion in team competitions. In the individual tournament of the 2022 Games, he took 15th place.
