Senior coach of the Russian national team Yuri Borodavko during a conversation with , he explained that the skier Alexei Chervotkin came sixth in the 10-kilometer race of the second stage of the Alfa-Bank Russian Cup, did not participate in the award ceremony because he was consulting a doctor.

On Friday, Chervotkin finished sixth in the 10-kilometer freestyle race at the second stage of the Alfa-Bank Russian Cup in Tyumen. The winner was Alexander Bolshunov, among the top three were also Artem Maltsev (+27.3) and Savely Korostelev (+31.2).
