On Friday, Istomina showed her second result in the 10-kilometer freestyle race with a time trial at the second stage of the Alfa-Bank Cup of Russia in Tyumen. She lost to winner Veronica Stepanova by 18.3 seconds. Anastasia Kuleshova finished third (+19.7).
