President of the All-Russian Swimming Federation Vladimir Salnikov believes that with the youth world record, Russian Polovtsians showed the right reaction to a difficult situation and hopes for ratification of the record by the World Swimming Federation.
On Friday, at the Russian Reserve competition in Saransk, the Russian national team updated the world record in the mixed 4 x 50 meter freestyle relay. The record was set in short waters. Previously, World Aquatics had already ratified the adult world records of Kliment Kolesnikov and Evgenia Chikunova.

Russian swimmers have been suspended from competitions held under the auspices of World Aquatics due to the situation in Ukraine.
