Kostomarov will undergo plastic surgery on his hand before installing a prosthesis

Roman Kostomarov said he would have to undergo plastic surgery before having a prosthesis fitted to his second arm.

On Saturday, December 2, an open dialogue “Iron Will and Technologies for Life” takes place with Kostomarov within the framework of the “Russia” forum in the “Made by Us” pavilion of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Federation from Russia to VDNKh.

— Technology helps. They have made a quantum leap in the last twenty years. You can walk without your legs. The bionic prosthesis is made in Russia. I have to get my second arm done while I have plastic surgery. Looking in the mirror, you see that you are a normal person. You can open the car door, the refrigerator. I do a lot of things without prosthetics, my own feeling of my hands is closer. But I think technology will not stand still. It’s great that this exists in Russia,” reports Kostomarov, correspondent.

Since January this year, Kostomarov has suffered several amputations after hospitalization. In early July, the 46-year-old skater announced that he had been released from the hospital.
