Ukrainian Kotovsky won bronze at the World Cup in ski acrobatics in the Finnish Ruka

Dmitry successfully opened the 2023/24 season

Ukrainian athlete Dmitry Kotovsky won bronze medal at the stage Ski Acrobatics World Cup in the city HandFinland.

Dmitry became the only Ukrainian to make it to the final of the first stage of the 2023/24 season.

In the super final, Kotovsky received a score of 116.37 points for his jump. This allowed him to take the final third place. The first was the Chinese Qi Guangpu, the second was the Swiss Pirmin Werner.

In addition to 22-year-old Kotovsky, Alexander Okipnyuk, Vladimir Kushnir, Zakhar Maksimchuk, Yan Gavryuk and Maxim Kuznetsov (in the men’s competition), as well as Angelina Brykina and Diana Yablonskaya (in the women’s competition) took part in the competition. However, none of them managed to qualify for the finals.

Let us remember that in February 2023, Kotovsky won gold at the World Cup level for the first time in his career. He did this at the stage in Deer Valley (USA).

The next stage of the Ski Acrobatics World Cup will take place in Changchun, China on December 16-17.
