Dalaloyan on the reason for withdrawing from the Russian Cup: “I had a sore throat, I didn’t completely drink the course of antibiotics, I got sick again”

Olympic gymnastics champion Arthur Dalaloyan said he withdrew from the Russian Cup due to recurrent illness with sore throat.

The tournament takes place in Kaluga from July 6 to 10. Dalaloyan announced on Tuesday that he will not participate in the Russian Cup.

– I did not have time to prepare for the Russian Cup, because I fell ill two weeks before the start of the training camp. The first week I had a sore throat, I did not drink the course of antibiotics to the end, after that I fell ill again, for a total of two weeks I was at home . And the disease does not spare, it destabilizes, deforms, tightly. Therefore, three weeks of training was not enough for me to prepare.

You get in shape for six months, then in two weeks it’s all “zero”. And now, during the collection, I have acquired only a little physical qualities, but for now I am generally silent about the performance on the shells.

Also, I have some issues with my hands, I still struggle with them, I work with them (shows torn skin on palms). Now everything seems to be fine, everything has improved, I am training and preparing for the Spartakiad, Dalaloyan told reporters.

– You can’t make too big a block without a start?

At first glance, that doesn’t scare me. Secondly, not too big a block, because the first half of the year was busy for me, I played five competitions in Italy, in addition I passed the Russian championship. Therefore, we now need some rest to continue working.

Dalaloyan is the Olympic champion of the Tokyo Games in the team all-around, he also has three gold medals at the world championships.
