“At my age, five attempts at quadruple jumps a day are enough” – figure skater Sinitsyna

Figure skater Ksenia Sinitsyna explained that it is necessary to maintain balance in the components and fourth jumps.

The 19-year-old athlete won the fifth stage of the Russian Cup Grand Prix in Samara.

— You cannot do a large number of repetitions with the quad. There is an injury. The quad is a very heavy load. You start jumping on him, and if he’s been jumping for four days, something might start to hurt him, something might go wrong. A very big load on the body. You make five attempts a day, that’s enough at my age. As the years go by, jumping becomes more difficult. It’s daily work. And the quad – you have to jump even more on the ground.

Last week I rode with weights on my legs for 40 minutes. To make the legs lighter and easier to jump, they would be less obstructed without weights. We are developing a kind of methodology in order not to harm health, and to develop in terms of endurance, so that we can approach this quad with good legs and a good body,” Sinitsyna told the “Championship”.
