Elena Gumennik, mother of a Russian figure skater Pierre Gumennik told that the initiative to invite the athlete to the tournament in Belarus came from coach Oleg Vasiliev.
Gumennik has been entered into the Friendship Cup tournament, which will be held in Minsk from December 8 to 10, 2023. Olympic champion Oleg Vasiliev has been leading the Belarusian figure skating team for three years.
