Gymnast Ivan Kulyak spoke about plans after the Russian Cup, which takes place in Kaluga.
“I just train here. It is cooler today. Indeed, the arrangements are influenced by the temperature in the room. Then I will return to Obninsk and continue training. Of course, it’s difficult without competition. You prepare and get suspended, but you have to get over it. The new program is in preparation on certain types. If I was competing here, I would do it on six shells, not four. Everything is in order, without any injuries in this sport. My back hurts, but it’s better now. Without competitive training it’s hard, but I have to work, I can’t do anything. It will be clear that it will be difficult for me in the first competitions, Kulyak told reporters.
In May, the Gymnastic Ethics Foundation (GEF) disciplinary committee suspended Kulyak for one year. The Russian at the stage of the World Cup, which was held in March in Doha, came to the award ceremony with the image of the letter Z on the form. Kulyak later appealed this decision. The Russian Artistic Gymnastics Federation (FSGR) later announced that the athlete would not participate in Russian competitions organized by the FSGR until the decision of the WEF Appeal Tribunal.
