American duo Lia Neset/Artem Markelov won gold in the ISU Junior Grand Prix final in ice dancing.
Neset and Markelov scored 177.09 points based on the results of the rhythm dance and free dance. Second place was won by Israeli representatives Elisabeth Tkachenko and Alexey Kilyakov (168.78), bronze by the German duo Daria Grimm/Mikhail Savitsky (159.41).
The competition takes place in Beijing.
Markelov is 20 years old, originally from the Volgograd region and lives in the United States, where he studies.
Russian athletes are suspended from participating in international competitions under the auspices of the ISU.
