Japanese Kaori Sakamoto won gold in the Figure Skating Grand Prix Final, which takes place in Beijing.
According to the results of the short and free programs, the 23-year-old figure skater scored 225.70 points. Belgian Luna Hendrix (203.36) took second place, while another Japanese representative, Hana Yoshida, won bronze (203.16).
Sakamoto is a two-time world champion and bronze medalist at the Beijing Olympics in the individual and team competitions.
Russian figure skaters have been suspended from participating in competitions under the auspices of the International Biathlon Union (ISU) due to the situation in Ukraine.
