Head Coach of the Russian National Synchronized Swimming Team Tatiana Pokrovskaya shared his expectations from the start of the 1st stage of the Friendship Games in Kazan.
The first stage of the Friendship Games will be held in Kazan from July 19 to August 3. More than 1100 athletes will participate.
“We have recovered a little from this shock. We say sport, peace, and suddenly the accusations are such that it is difficult to react to them. As women, we cried a little, but we have an iron government led by Vladimir Vladimirovich, and they provided all the means of preparation. It is uplifting. The Friendship Games are not crazy competitions, they are very important to us.
We watched the World Cup, we were sad. Ahead was a backlash according to the estimate, as if we were given a seat. We were warmer. As if the judges were giving us first place. Never before the Friendship Games, our three teams by age did not participate in the same competition. For me, as a coach, it is very interesting. See the young growth that will come to replace our daughters,” Pokrovskaya told a press conference.
