Olympic silver medalist in pole vault Angelique Sidorova after leaving the sport, she declared a lack of respect from the World Athletics Association and also expressed a problem in the relationship between her coach Svetlana Abramova and the leadership of the All-Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF ).

On Saturday, Sidorova, 32, announced her retirement. World Athletics President Sebastian Coe said on Friday that Russian athletes would not compete in athletics at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
