Russian cyclist, captain of the Bora-Hansgrohe team Alexander Vlasov finished sixth in the eighth stage of the Tour de France.
Wout Van Art, representing the Jumbo-Visma team, won the 186.3 km stage with a time of 4 hours 13 minutes 6 seconds.
Aussie Michael Matthews of Team BikeExchange was second, while overall leader Tadej Pogacar of Slovenia of UAE Team Emirates was third.
Vlasov is on the 12th row in the general classification, 2 minutes 45 seconds behind Pogachar. The next stage of the Tour will take place on Sunday, its distance will be 192.9 km.
