Angelica successfully debuted at the competitions
Ukrainian Angelica Terlyuga became the champion of the 2022 World Karate Games.
For Terlyuga, performances at the World Games became a career debut. In her weight category, the Ukrainian had five fights, of which she could not win only one fight – in the group stage.
In the final fight, Terlyuga was opposed by the reigning world champion, the representative of Egypt, Ahlam Youssef. However, Angelica managed to win the battle with a score of 1:0.
This year, Terlyuga successfully performs at various competitions. In April (Matosinhos) and May (Rabat), the Ukrainian became the winner of the Premier League stages, and at the beginning of the year, Angelika became the silver medalist in the Emirates.
Also in May, Terlyuga became the European champion in her weight category. For the 30-year-old athlete, this award was the fourth in the continental competitions.
