Figure skating coach Vlada Danilkina spoke about her friendship with Elizaveta Tuktamysheva .

Danilkina, now 27 years old, ended her sporting career at the age of 17.

— I looked through your social networks to the end and saw many photos there with Liza Tuktamysheva. Were you friends?

— Yes, Lisa and I were best friends. We met at the World Championships in Moscow in 2011. As a result, she came to me from St. Petersburg to Moscow for the weekend and spent the night with us. Then our paths diverged because I ended my short career as a figure skater. When you coach you don’t have days off, you work around the athlete’s schedule. That year we met on stage in Perm and had a very sincere conversation. Now a lot of water has already flowed under the bridge, so we do not communicate closely.

Tuktamysheva is a world and European champion and winner of the Grand Prix final. Last season, the athlete finished third at the Russian Championship and the country’s Grand Prix final.
