Figure skating coach Vlada Danilkina spoke about her attempt to team up with Daniil Gleikhengauz, who now works as a choreographer in coach Eteri Tutberidze’s group.

— Singles (skating) was a very difficult period. I skated with Natalya Petrovna Dubinskaya, apparently, until I was 12 years old. I learned all the triples, but I didn’t show them in competition because there was a very strong growth spurt. For this reason, it was emotionally difficult. At that moment, when I was very discouraged, the coach Angelika Kirchmeier, the ex-wife of Oleg Ovsyannikov, came out of the ball. She invited me to try riding with a partner.

We called Danya Gleikhengauz from the singles group, who was considering taking up dancing due to an injury. We tried to join a training session, but I had some kind of misunderstanding with my trainer and everything suddenly became different for her.
