“The most terrible 48 hours of my life, I never want to experience that again” – Danilkina on the disappearance of figure skater Gorbatcheva

Figure skating coach Vlada Danilkina spoke about the incident of disappearance Alina Gorbacheva .

Gorbachev disappeared in Moscow on August 28, left the rink and did not return home. A day later, police found a 16-year-old figure skater in a cinema in one of the shopping centers.

—Was it difficult to get over what happened to Alina in August?

“We were all together, it was very scary.” It was the most terrible 48 hours of my life, I never want to go through that again. Thank God it’s all over, everything is fine.

When this Internet leak happened, they started calling Sofya Anatolyevna and cutting off the phone. They called me less, I answered everything, in case someone wanted to tell me something important. And when they claimed it was some kind of pen pal, I hung up. At such a time, I didn’t want to discuss something just to make headlines.

— It’s clear, you’re stressed, and so are all the Telegram channels…

– We haven’t read anything. There was no time. Everything was done to find Alina. We were constantly on the phone to each other and to security.

— During all this time, you were with Sophia, participating in the research?

– Yes, we were inseparable all this time.

– You have not slept ?

– No. At one point I fainted briefly in the car, but Sofya Anatolyevna didn’t sleep at all,” Danilkina was quoted as saying by Sport24.

Gorbatcheva is the winner of the Russian Junior Championships in 2023. The athlete works with coach Sofia Fedchenko.
