Spurs overtook fourth-placed Manchester City on points
Tottenham won an away victory over Nottingham Forest in the 17th round match English Premier League – 2:0.
Spurs held the advantage for at least three quarters of the match. The favorite managed to open the scoring just before the break – Richarlison scored from Dejan Kulusevski’s cross.
In the middle of the second half, the Swedish winger scored himself, but soon the visitors were left in the minority – Yves Bissouma received a straight red card.
However, Ange Postecoglou’s team of ten did not fall apart, as was recently the case in the match with Chelsea (1:4), but retained the victory with class.
Spurs remained fifth, but on points they at least temporarily caught up with the champion – Manchester City, which is in fourth. Foresters remained 16th but could drop one place if Everton don’t lose to Burnley tomorrow.
In the next round, Tottenham will play at home against the aforementioned Everton, and Nottingham will host Bournemouth.
