Swimmer Ilya Borodin after winning the 400 meter medley at the Vladimir Salnikov Cup, he told that this swim was easier for him than at the Russian Championship in St. Petersburg.
On Saturday, Borodin became first in the Salnikov Cup, clocking 3 minutes 58.21 seconds. In November, the athlete also won a similar distance in the Czech Republic in short course swimming (3:59.50).
— Today it was easier to swim the distance than at the Russian Championships. When preparing for the tournament, we tried to improve those aspects that did not work at the Russian Championship and maintain our physical condition,” Borodin told the correspondent.
The Vladimir Salnikov Cup international tournament is taking place in St. Petersburg and will end on December 17.
