Double Olympic swimming champion Evgeny Rylov won first place in the 200-meter backstroke at the international tournament of the Vladimir Salnikov Cup, which takes place in St. Petersburg.
The athlete covered the distance in 1 minute 49.26 seconds. Dmitry Savenko was second (1:50.51), with third being Fedor Esin (1:51.88).
Among the women, Anastasia Osipenko won over a similar distance (2.07.34). Anastasia Duplinskaya (2.07.71) won silver, Elizaveta Fedosova won bronze (2.10.42).
The tournament takes place in St. Petersburg from December 16 to 18.
