Russian figure skating coach Tatyana Mishina told that Roman Kostomarov showed the limitless possibilities of man after the Olympic champion went skating on the ice.

Kostomarov suffered several amputations during his illness earlier this year. On Sunday, the 46-year-old athlete appeared on the ice rink at the end of his wife Oksana Domnina’s performance at Ilya Averbukh’s birthday show. The audience greeted him standing, people only sat down at the end of the show, many could not hold back their tears.

– How much strength does a person have to fight? He showed how unlimited possibilities can manifest. Roman has someone to live and fight for. He has a wonderful family, parents. He does everything possible not to upset those close to him and to show that anything is possible. It makes everyone happy,” Mishina told .

Kostomarov, partnered with Tatyana Navka, won gold at the 2006 Turin Olympics in ice dancing, and also won the world championships twice and the European championships three times.
