General Director of the FVSR – about the order of the President of the Russian Federation: “They will build a track in the Sverdlovsk region”

According to the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the training centers of the Russian national team, the construction of a cycle path is planned in the Sverdlovsk region, the general director of the Russian Cycling Federation told , Yuri Kucheryavy.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin approved a list of instructions following a meeting of the Presidential Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports. These include the creation of training centers for the Russian national biathlon, cycling and speed skating teams in the Sverdlovsk region.

— This is a very important project for us. It is necessary to organize training in the eastern part, especially since the 2032 Olympic Games will be held in Australia. Now we are talking about the construction of a cycle path in the Sverdlovsk region. The region has good cycling traditions, there are good athletes and coaches, but there are no facilities yet.

— Where do you plan to build the track?

– In Verkhnyaya Pyshma.
