Minister of Sports of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov spoke about the progress of construction in Kazan of a school named after the Olympic champion in figure skating Alina Zagitova .
It is planned that in the center of Zagitova there will be an ice rink, changing rooms, separate rooms for choreography and training, a cafe, as well as a place for holding press conferences. At the same time, Leonov admitted that the layout could change during construction work.
— There are no final preliminary designs yet. Technical specifications have been generated. The issue of document preparation and design is currently ongoing. This problem does not happen quickly and may take a few months. In an ideal situation, construction will begin and be completed next year.

It was previously announced that construction would be completed by summer 2024.
