Figure skater Aliyev talks about his preparation for the Russian Championship: “We are not saying that you have to finish, there is no such thing”

Figure skater Dmitry Aliyev said that he did not discuss the issue of ending his career in preparation for the Russian figure skating championship.

Aliev received 99.2 points for the short program and took intermediate third place at the Russian Championships in Chelyabinsk.

– I am an angry person myself. It was tough, a lot of bad days. The technical staff and I are all looking for the keys to show myself at my best. There are times in training that don’t work, but we look for ways and don’t give up. We’re not saying you have to end it. There is nothing like that.

— They say that the Russian Championship has become the St. Petersburg Championship.

— The St. Petersburg figure skating school has always been of a high level. I’m glad we have such competition in our city. There is always someone to follow and where to gain experience. In general, yes, we can say that men’s skating can be called the championship of St. Petersburg. But I don’t want to offend the guys, now one of the strongest national championships is taking place for a long time.

– How do you like ice cream?

— Good quality, I would like to highlight not only the quality of the ice, but also the maintenance of the stands, even if they were not full. And we will finally assess the quality of the ice cream only tomorrow,” reports the correspondent, according to Aliyev’s words.

The men will present their free program on December 22.
