Figure skater Andrei Mozalev said he may withdraw from Friday’s free skate at the Russian Championships in Chelyabinsk due to tailbone pain that emerged during morning training.

Mozalev received 167.47 points for his free skate. In total, the skater scored 248.18 points.

— This morning, during training, I had pain in my tailbone. Last night, nothing hurt yet. I couldn’t even train properly, I skated to music and realized I couldn’t do it at all. I started thinking about what I should do next. Everyone was warned that I might not skate. I pulled myself together, I overcame myself and I skated. The illness I mentioned also took its toll. The main thing is that I pull myself together.
