Ukrainian basketball player New York Knicks Dmitry Skapintsev debuted in NBA.

The center received a little more than a minute in the regular season match against the Milwaukee Bucks (111:130). During the time allotted to him, the Ukrainian made one inaccurate throw attempt.

The center played for the New York farm club the Westchester Knicks in the NBA Development League this season. Today it became known about the Ukrainian’s full-fledged bilateral contract with the NBA club.

Dmitry became the third Ukrainian in the current NBA season. Svyatoslav Mikhailyuk plays for the Boston Celtics, and Alexey Len plays for the Sacramento Kings.

Overall, Skapintsev is the ninth Ukrainian in the NBA. In addition to the aforementioned Mikhailyuk and Len, Alexander Volkov, Vitaly Potapenko, Stanislav Medvedenko, Alexey Pecherov, Kirill Fesenko and Vyacheslav Kravtsov also played in the league.

The Knicks are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference. New York will play the Milwaukee Bucks again on December 25th.
