Athletistic/ Figure skating. Earlier this year, Olympic figure skating champion Roman Kostomarov was hospitalized due to pneumonia. The treatment was difficult, it was carried out using a ventilator. As a result, this led to necrosis, due to which the skater’s limbs were amputated. Kostomarov later underwent prosthetics. Last weekend he performed on the ice in Ilya Averbukh’s show for the first time since the incident. The athlete said he would give anything to get healthy.
– I would give everything, all the money. I would be poor. When you lose that, you think: “Give me everything back,” Kostomarov said, as quoted by Channel One.
Roman Kostomarov became Olympic champion in 2006 with Tatyana Navka.
