Olympic figure skating champion Roman Kostomarov said that Russia has always been at the forefront in the field of sports.

On Sunday, VDNKh hosts the opening of the “Walk of Fame” exhibition, organized by the Russian Society “Znanie”, where famous Russian athletes deposited their medals.

“Hurry up, otherwise our feet are frozen,” Kostomarov joked before speaking to journalists.

“Today we tear away a piece of our heart, a piece of ourselves. Our country has always been at the forefront, it has always won and shown the best results. Thank you all very much for being here today.

It’s great that people can touch the medals and see a part of us. It’s very cool that such an exhibition was organized with the participation of champions,” reports correspondent Kostomarov.

Figure skaters Roman Kostomarov, Alexey Yagudin, speed skater Ruslan Zakharov, freestyler Maxim Burov, snowboarder Vic Wild, biathletes Maxim Chudov, Anna Bogaliy and Svetlana Ishmuratova, as well as skiers Elena Vyalbe and Nikita Kryukov displayed their awards .
