Krutykh reached the second round of the tournament in Iasi

The Ukrainian put the squeeze on his opponent in the tie-break of the third set

Ukrainian tennis player Alexey Krutykh advanced to the second round of the Challenger tournament in Iasi. In three sets, the Ukrainian overcame the resistance of the Brazilian player Daniel Dutra da Silva.

The match lasted almost three hours. The first set was confidently won by the Brazilian – 6:2. In the second, Aleksey seized the initiative, took the opponent’s serve, but could not serve for the set on the first attempt. The Ukrainian won the tie-break and turned the match into a decisive game.

In the third set, the opponents exchanged breaks several times. The outcome of the match was decided in a tie-break. Krutykh made two mini-breaks and advanced to the next round.

In the second round of the Challenger, the Ukrainian will face the winner of the pair Renzo Olivo – Lucas Klein.

Recall that 22-year-old Oleksiy Krutykh became the first racket of Ukraine for the first time. He updated his personal record, rising to 249th place (+30) in the ATP rankings.
