Women’s single skating world champion Maria Butyrskaya believes that Adélia Petrossian won a crushing victory at the Russian Championship in Chelyabinsk.
Petrosyan won the tournament in Chelyabinsk on Saturday, scoring 246.53 points in a total of two programs. Sofia Muravyova finished second (239.40), Kamila Valieva third (237.99).
— It’s hard to say which program for girls I liked the most. All Russian Championship medalists performed well, and some even did very well in the ultra-si elements. So I think it’s more a question of taste.
I think I won’t be the only one to say that Adelia Petrosyan won a crushing victory in the free program. No one else allowed themselves to do as many difficult jumps as she did. I really liked that the first element torn off did not bother Adelia in any way. She seemed to have scratched it and continued her confident performance,” Butyrskaya said, as quoted by RT.
