The presentation of the book “Flying Over Water”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Russian diving, took place in Moscow.
The author of the book is a professor at the Russian Sports University “GTSOLIFK”, winner of international diving competitions, world champion among veterans Evgenia Raspopova.
In particular, the book pays great attention to the performances of Soviet diving at the Olympic Games between 1952 and 1992, the triumphant career of Dmitry Sautin and the recent history of Russian diving.
The book was presented by Raspopova, President of the Russian Diving Federation Stanislav Druzhinin and Olympic champion Ilya Zakharov.
“We have great respect for our history and are grateful to Evgenia Andreevna for collecting piece by piece everything that might have seemed forgotten. So the future generation will not lose the memory of the glorious times of the birth of diving and victories,” Druzhinin said during the presentation.
