Evgeny Vlasov, multiple USSR cycling champion, died at the age of 90

International master of cycling sport Evgeny Vlasov has died at the age of 91, the press service of the Russian Cycling Federation reports.

— We regret to inform you that on December 25, at the age of 90, Evgeniy Dmitrievich Vlasov, international master of cycling sports and master of motorcycling sports, died. World record holder, participant in six world championships, 12-time champion of the USSR and RSFSR in cycling in races for the leader, author of 30 patents and copyright certificates for inventions and industrial designs. During his coaching career, he trained more than 20 sports masters and 6 champions.

The Russian Cycling Federation expresses its sincere condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and students of Evgeniy Dmitrievich, the message said.

Farewell to Vlasov will take place on December 27 in Tula, at the morgue of the Vanykin Emergency Hospital (13, Pervomaiskaya Street).
